Beware the Ides of March

1/ There have been 6 major economic-political-military events in my life since graduating high school in 2000:

1. 9/11
2. Invasion of Iraq 3/19-20/2003
3. Great financial crisis. 3/16/2008
4. Trump election in 2016
5. Covid-19 and shutdowns in 3/16-17/2020
6. SVB shutdown in 3/10/2023

2/ We are still living in the aftermath of the first 5 events. This 6th event will have consequences easily for the next few months and likely for years ahead.

3/ A fellow VC and friend commented to me yesterday, that they wished they lived in uninteresting times! 😂

4/ This picture of Caesar reminds me of what VCs and startups just did to other VCs and startups.
